If you’ve spent any time at all researching Maui luaus, you’ve undoubtedly heard of the Old Lahaina Luau – undoubtedly the most authenticly Hawaiian luau on Maui, but it is not my first choice for families wanting to attend a Maui luau with kids younger than, say 13. Instead, they should consider the Polynesian Village Luau in Kihei.
The Polynesian Village Luau showcases a variety of Pacific island dance customs. Guests will see faced-paced Tahitian dancing and Samoan fire dancers! What kid between the ages of 7 and 13 doesn’t have an affinity for cool pyrotechnics!
Most importantly, the Polynesian Village Luau engages youth in a variety of fun activities throughout the evening including lei making, keiki (kids) drumming circle, spear-throwing and warrior games…. hey, they even have a bouncy castle!
… Or do you think your kids might prefer a history lesson?
