Roughly an hour east of Lahaina, and 45 minutes NE of Kihei is the sleepy town of Haiku. Here you’ll find the Kalakupua Fourth Marine Division Park at Giggle Hill in Haiku – home of an exceptional public playground. The climbing structures unique and elaborate with custom mosaic tile work.
The “Fighting Fourth” was home-based at Camp Maui (aka “Giggle Hill”) during WWII operations in the Pacific Theater. Kalakupua is at the site of the old Camp Maui and helps to commemorate their brave service to our nation.
