The Reef Dancer offers underwater reef viewing off west Maui coast – and you don’t have to get your feet wet. This glass-bottom boat tour is sort of a cross between a submarine ride, scuba diving and a scenic tour.
Passengers are given a glimpse of the marine life on Maui’s coral reef, including reef fish, eels and the occasional turtle and octopus. During the tour, professional divers bring stuff up to your window to see up close.
The sub can accommodate up to 34 passengers – each with their own window view – on every 1 hour trip. It is air conditioned, offers drinking water on board.
The Reef Dancer has two tours, a 60 minute and a longer 90 minute trip that visits a second location:
- 1-hour tours depart at 10:00AM, 11:15AM and 1:00PM and are $34.95 adults, kids 6-12 or $18.95 and children under 6 are free.
- 90 minute tours include a second location where you can view sea turtles. It leaves at 2:15PM and provides refreshments. Cost: $44.95/adults, kids 6-12 are $24.95 and children under 6 are free.
