Maui Surfer Girls (MSG) was established in 2001 with a mission to build self-confidence in women through the sport of surfing. Based on the comments from clients, it appears they are doing just that.
Lessons are available for beginner to intermediate surfers, at Ukumehame Beach Park, 5 miles south of Lahaina. All classes have a 3:1 student to instructor ratio which allows for very personalized attention. Maui Surfer Girls specializes in instructing girls and women, But boys shouldn’t feel left out. They’ll help you get up on that board too! All lessons are co-ed.
Maui Surfer Girls is unique among surfing schools. In addition to offering private, semi-private, group lessons, and stand-up paddle board lessons, MSG also offers overnight surf camps during the month of July for girls between the ages of 12-17. These are 1-2 week programs that feature a lot more than just surfing!
